How it works, and where the listings come from

Most rentals in Bali are posted in Facebook groups and nowhere else. The same villa shows up in five groups, the price is somewhere in the text, and yesterday's posts are already buried.

We collect public rental posts for villas, houses and apartments. Unknown monthly and yearly rates are marked as price on request. Before you pay anything, read how to avoid rental scams.

Renting in Bali, the short answers

How much is rent in Bali?

It depends on the area and the number of bedrooms. In the current listings the median is Rp 16M a month for one bedroom and Rp 30M for two. See rent prices by area.

Can I rent for one month only?

Yes. Many owners rent by the month, and the monthly price drops when you commit to three or six months. Yearly rentals are cheaper per month but are usually paid in full up front.

Do I pay a deposit?

Most monthly rentals ask for the first month plus a deposit. Never send money before you or someone you trust has seen the place. The scams guide lists the warning signs.

Which area should I live in?

Canggu, Berawa and Pererenan for cafes, coworking and surf. Ubud for quiet and green. Uluwatu for surf and cliffs. Sanur for families and a slower pace. The area guide compares them.

Are you an agency?

No. We do not own or manage any property and we take no commission. Each listing links to a rental post, property website or Google Maps page. Contact the owner, agent or property directly. If a listing is yours and you want it removed, ask here.
